Message:
Massive Power Outage for Orange County due to Hurricane Humberto. Phones (cell and landlines) are working. Limited gasoline available at stations with emergency power only. Supplies now low and expect long lines and waiting.
All schools closed till power is restored. Orange County EOC is in contact with State DEM and State SOC with hourly via teleconferences. Phones to EOC are working. Most retail stores and businesses closed due to no power. Most petrochemical facilities are shut down due to no power. Flaring off. Electric power expected to be restored sometime Saturday the 15th. Interstate 10 is open and has normal traffic. One fatality in Bridge City, Tx. Related to Hurricane Humberto.
County wide repeater 147.180 is working and has power. Backup repeater tested and on standby. Saltgrass Link repeater 444.700 in Jefferson County is working was used to make contact with State SOC station WC5AAH in Austin.
