Hurricane Felix Bye-Bye

September 3rd, 2007 Posted in SKYWARN, SPARCS

Although the Texas Department of Emergency Management will continue to monitor, as well as Task Force 1 and Texas Military Forces with Alamo Unified Command and Control and FEMA ERT-A team arriving to Austin, there are fresh boots on the ground in the Valley belonging to advance teams and scouts just in case Hurricane Felix makes an unexpected move.  But for all practical purposes, Felix is going on shore soon to never obtain Hurricane status again.

All ARES operators are reminded that “Condition 4″ (normal daily routine operations) remain and that there is no anticipation for activation in response to Hurricane Felix going forward into the week ahead. Felix should strike the Honduras coast and never see the ocean or hurricane status again.
